I've created a new 1.1.2 build of the SB Controller App for Android. It should fix the issue HTC users have been seeing recently. Before we release it I'd like as many users as possible to test it, as the underlying library has changed considerably. [slim] How to connect 5.1 speakers to squeezebox
Hi I have some creative 5.1 speakers (I know that I won't get 5.1 sound from the squeezebox) that I wish to use with my squeezebox. I only have three male connectors for my speakers, what's the best way to connect them? I get a buzzing sound when connected to the L and R outputs of the squeezebox. There's been a lot of discussion about this on this forum over the years, but to (potentially over) simplify, a digital volume control basically shifts bits downward and the bottommost bits are discarded. If those bottommost bits are all zeros, then you didn't lose any resolution. With 16 bit samples, being handled as 24 bit, there are always some discardable bits, so no worries, at least not in the ranges that RG will get you to with player volume set to 100%. If that's over simplified, search for those forum conversations, there were pages of it. Or if you really don't want to see it, create a favorites folder and put it inside the folder with a name that is less annoying. p.s. This is a relatively new thing. [slim] Looking for an SB1 display
The display on my SB1 has stopped working after years of continuous service (6? 7?). I have newer Squeezeboxes as my primary music devices, but this SB1 has been an excellent clock radio and I'd love to keep it running if possible. Does anyone have an SB1 display laying about that they'd be willing to sell me?
