Hello,
I was wondering if there's a way to announce tracks via the speaker
before actually playing the track. This would be handy for blind people
or children or devices where the display is too far away or even broken.
So is there a plugin for that? Can you recommend a software that easily

To try and further diagnose this, I wonder, is there something
intrinsically different from the Touch devices that would make them more
susceptible to network issues, as opposed to other Squeezedevices?
If all's going well, I have 8

Indeed it is, but it run extremely reliably under 'wine', the WIndows

I've prepared a schematic of my network to try and help clarify things
further. Anything with a solid line is cabled, anything with a dashed
line is wireless.
While I've shown all four Touch's as connected, only two are at the
moment. One of those two (top right) has two dashed lines. When it's

Deezer has a free access option called 'Discovery' which is available as
an app on mysqueezebox.com. You can play so called 'Smart Radios' which
plays one song of your favorite artist followed by

Can you write out your ideal use case. This would be an ideal case -

You're welcome! I'm glad to hear it's of some use to other people.
I hope anyone who has a cool query will share it, maybe by posting it in

As another point for comparison, how would your ideal solution differ

That's all folks!
Of course, there are other database files. Not sure how much more value
there is in querying them.

You need to have lame installed as all audio is converted into MP3.

Personally I find the Deezer implementation pretty good. Best to sign up

The menu item indeed seems to be missing. Looks like an omission to me

Maybe Deezer objected to it because the have their own favorites

The issue about defining local streams is important as it is a
limitation of your equipment.
I've seen negative references to dlna in these forums, but am not
technical enough to really understand the issue. Is it that there is
some fatal flaw with dlna to make it impossible to have the
functionality of LMS/SB, or is it just faulty execution?

Some routers have a setting to limit the amount of devices conected ,
check it's web-UI .
A Touch can loose its static settings if you poke around in the network
settings part of the UI , can't remember what exact menu that provokes
that behaviour .
