Looks like they fixed that problem:

I'd likely find the software lacking, as is the case with every other
product I've seen to date (other than SB), but I'm officially putting
Beep on my watch
Fixed ip's in the router is only really half the solution if that
causing trouble for you you don't get rid of the dependency of the
routers DHCP .
So iether use DHCP or just exclude some adress space from the DHCP pool
and setup true static adresses on the devices and the server .

I wouldn't split the RCA although it will work.
Why not?
Splitting an output signal with a Y cable is fine. (Don't use a Y cable
to combine two outputs into one input, though.)

Greetings and thanks in advance. I have owned a Touch for about 6 or 7
years but just found this forum.
The thing used to work like buttuh, perfect in other words. I use my

Are you sure your touch is connected to your LMS server and NOT
connected to mysqueezebox.com instead?
Not sure of exact menus, but on your Touch navigate to my music and
look for something like music server
Also, make sure your LMS is running on your computer. Navigate via web

Wow, two replies in an hour. GREAT. I'm out of town till Wed this
week but will try your suggestions when I return and will post the
results.
I have a mess of high quality stereo gear and a ton of music. My Touch
make the whole mess so much easier to manage and enjoy. Not having it

Time to resurrect.
I received my Beep before the holidays, and just a few days ago, was
added to the test group for DLNA. It's a nice device, connects via
optical to my system, and has good sound quality. In order to access my
local library via DLNA, I am using MiniDLNA
Does Logitech Media Server open on your server/desktop where it is
installed i.e. can you open the browser to LMS(it is at
http://127.0.0.1:9000/ on my PC)? Does the LMS see your library, that is
in settings is the music directory specified?

No not really - I ran the Duet same as I now run my 2 Touches.
Wirelessly, with static IP addresses set in router software.
So with this wired set up via router
Yes. Most don't bother with fixed IP's for SB usage, fewer still with
players, I never have.

Thanks
I did eventually set fixed IPs up as it seemed to stabilise Duet
performance. I then did the same for Touches (but I never tried them
with dynamically allocated IP addresses -
