[slim] Squeezebox 3 keeps resetting
My beloved Squeezebox 3 has for some time been playing up. I wonder if anyone has any similar experience and would know if a fix is possible? Whilst playing music from my local LMS 7.9 server, the SB3 occasionally reboots. It goes through its usual startup sequence. It seems to be happening more frequently now. I just experienced 2 restarts this morning, both times whilst playing a flac file. Roughly half way through a 20 min song. Thank you for your input. @drmatt: Since LMS is running on my QNAP, I don't have a possibilty to get my audio stream into the system by chromecast etc. @Apesbrain: I tried Upnp. Everything is fine. I activated Upnp in LMS, now I can see the squeezeboxes as dlna clients on my phone. I just rescanned my entire collection, or rather tried to. LMS stalled at 0 scanned and then I aborted and restarted a scan after another complete "delete and rescan" failed. You should probably change the thread's subject. Obviously you wouldn't find something which has failed to scan. You're not dealing with a search problem, but with a scanner problem :-). Should I manually delete the database, and try again? First of all check the server.log and scanner.log files for hints about the failure. If you press the on button on the SB3 remote , I think that should do it . I'm reviving this thread after several years. My SB3 is wired to my Mac Time Machine router, which is wired to my iMac. I have enabled WOL on the Mac, but turning on my SB3 does not wake up the computer. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? My SB3 is on my whole-house audio system so that it powers up when I switch on the system from a wall plate somewhere in the house. With my old PC, the computer would wake up, but I've been unable to configure this functionality on the iMac. [slim] Search results for LMS: false negative
When I search for either single words "Vanessa" or "Daou", I get no matches with LMS search from the main screen, not advanced search. However, I can use the music folder link to browse to 5-6 folders with music by Vanessa Daou with correctly tagged music in each folder. Any ideas? I have 4 x 3TB drives in a single external enclosure connected by USB 3 to a Win 10 NUC i7 16 GB computer with a 6 GB RAM disk that has the LMS database. LMS was upgraded to the latest 7.9 beta after the last beta from a couple of months ago stalled as above. Should I manually delete the database, and try again?
