This can be a problem from time to time, and I can see theres some
technical discussion on the forum by the app developers. Is there a
workaround or a solution in the near future?

Hi, I'm new here, but have been (and am!) a happy Squeezebox user for

I am running LMS on an old computer (Linux).
As I buy more and more IoT devices, and since I have a squeezebox in
every room of my house now, I was wondering if I could have the Radio,

Using that old SB3 would be my first choice. Should work fine for many
more
IIRC Pandora requires a hardware players as that was part of the deal
with Slimdevices/Logitech - I think this is checked using mac address.
There may be other problems with Pandora (paid up) and Chromecast
