The WMAs are on the second Raspberry with PiCorePlayer server and
dedicated HD. It plays well into Squeezebox Touch.

I'm not sure if Touch can play WMA Lossless natively. If not then it is
transcoded by MS libraries if

Can you upload a file?

The DAC board is HiFiBerry DAC+ Light for Raspberry Pi, and listed as
approved by piCorePlayer. Playing

Looking at the file format, the only CD rip data given is 192kbps (best
quality). Data on audio CDs is
You mention a DAC board in an earlier thread. What is it?
If you disable said DAC and play through the Pis onboard audio do you
get the same issue?
I say this because the price point of nearly all the Pi HAT DACs is such
that you will get the odd faulty board.

So speed is correct.
The content is still understandable but there seems to be a on overlay
of noise or are some sample being decoded

Totally. AFter many hours, I think at last a little progress:
I found out that the searchTag parameter inside the passthrough block is
the important one.
The following code -works- because I used the realID of the virtual
library

What sort of distortion
Slow playback ?
Volume ?
Noise ?

Hi. Very impressed with piCorePlayer and hoping it plays WMA files.
It does, but with huge distortion, even on a DAC audio board.
FFMpeg libraries installed and reinstalled, backed up and rebooted, with
various settings.
As a first-timer I'm likely missing what an experienced user figured
@edwin2006
Of course Centos uses trim, has done since before windows did !

Does centos os use TRIM or something for the ssd? I know on windows this
must be enabled to expand the lifespan of the ssd.

(Kitchen), 1x Boom (Dining room), 1x piCorePlayer (jacuzzi), 1x

I tend to use balena etcher for writing sdcards and usb sticks nowadays
I'll try tonight, 1 hour, yikes!!
How would you suggest creating a centos 7 bootable USB stick? Then I
connect a monitor to the T7 and keyboard to the T7 and follow on screen
instructions?

If you buy an SSD and then find you cannot install something due to a
hardware conflict etc you havent wasted the money buying the SSD

Ok, I could return the SSD knowing the HDD works is it? Or are you
suggesting installing Linux on the HDD first?

Excellent !
I know that Centos 7 will run on a D510 just in case you decide to go
that way.
I
Tranquil confirmed that the processor is a 64 bit processor. They said I
should be able to upgrade the 2.5" drive to an SSD and a bootable device
plugged into the USB socket.
