I believe this is accomplished with a factory reset, long press the
front button on the receiver until you get a fast blinking red LED on
the front. You will then have to set up the receiver from scratch,
either with the controller or NET::UDAP.

As far as I understand, complete lack of sound on this family of players
can often be fixed by reprogramming the Xilinx device. On players with
infrared remotes, initiating this process is simply a matter of pressing
the right button on the remote while connecting the power, but I have no
