Re: [slim] Server won't start
Should probably have said "du -hsc /var/log/" (with the slash at the end). The slash at the end made no difference 45M /var/log/ 45M total I'm sorry, got this wrong twice already... Re: [slim] Audacy/Radio/CBS .coms
BPA had it almost correct. Thanks for the lead. I found that Audacy has purchased streaming rights from WideOrbit Digital Audio Streaming. I also learned that the new URLs for the several stations I listen to are as follows: http://live.wostreaming.net/direct/audacy-knxammp3-imc http://live.wostreaming.net/direct/audacy-kfrchd2mp3-imc http://live.wostreaming.net/direct/audacy-kcbsammp3-imc http://live.wostreaming.net/direct/audacy-koolhd3mp3-imc It appears that the actual station call letters are combined with a verbal branding phrase that you would hear during a broadcast and/or some branding words or phrases you could see on the Audacy web site for the station. For example, Kools brand saying is now "KOOL HD3" -- this distinguishes it from the other KOOL iterations. Same with KFRC-HD2. In the case of KNX, for example, for decades it was an AM station branded with the phrase, "KNX AM 1070". (Now, it is also FM). So, if you have a station you want to use as a favorite, youll have to play around a little with the letters that follow the station call letters to get your URL. If you have listened to the station for a long time, you might have it in your memory from hearing it so often. Or, not!! Interesting that they are not https. And look a little odd. They do work fine and even on the old tech SoundBridge R-1000 radio which can only use URLs to play the internet radio without using SlimServer. phil phb (3 Booms, 2 SB3, 1 Rec'vr, 2 Controllers, 2xTouch, 2 Radios (1UE), iPeng : itouch & iPad, Squeezepad, 2 SoundBridge R1000s, NEW pCP Server + pCP Player) pbroughton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30993 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116933 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Hi all, I have had LMS running on a Linux SBC for years without any problems, I recently noticed the server had stopped and running systemctl status logitechmediaserver.service from a terminal gives me this Cannot write to '/var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log': No space left on device at /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/CPAN/Log/Log4perl/Appender/File.pm line 241. and the server doesn't start running df -h confirms /var/log is 100% full ( I removed other output for clarity ) Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/zram1 49M 45M 0 100% /var/log There are no large files in /var/log - any ideas guys ? Re: [slim] Coverart in Music Folder
I use folder browsing a lot, because for me it's the most similar way to browsing the records in a store, without looking specifically for a performer or composer. Couldn't it be programmed in a simple way, showing instead of the folder icon the file "folder.jpg" or "cover.jpg", if it exists? And if not, keep the folder icon. Thank you!! Re: [slim] Matter protocol and Squeezebox/LMS
>From my very quick reading of the Matter Device Library Specification they have a definition of a video device and a separate definition of a speaker. The speaker has only on/off/volume The video device includes a cast capability (content) along with pause/resume/volume/change-channel etc. So my guess is would have to emulate a video device to get the most functionality (eg channel could perhaps be mapped to LMS favorite) but still be less than can be done with LMS remote and much less than LMS web interfaces.
