If/when we implement UPnP via SN, there won't be any indexing. The UPnP
server will perform the indexing and you'd get the menus provided by the
server. This is the way most UPnP client devices work.

IIRC the Shoutcast station IDs are not permanent and so if you save a
favorite with one of those URLs it may point to a completely different
station at a later date. Nothing we can do about that.

Yeah, and the majority of stations on Shoutcast are probably short-lived
anyway, so there is not really anything they can do to fix the problem
on their end. Maybe they could do something like Live365 does and send
you to an audio error like This station is no longer broadcasting.

I added the ability today to sync more than 3 players on Rhapsody. It
requires an update to SN before you can use it, and you'll have to go
to SN and configure which players should use which Rhapsody account,
but then you can sync up to 3 players per account.

Rhapsody via UPnP is no longer supported because it is vastly inferior
to Rhapsody Direct. You need to sign up for a SqueezeNetwork account
and enter your Rhapsody account information on SN.

Music Services - Rhapsody Direct.
All your playlists will still be there. You can shut down the Rhapsody
PC client, but it won't affect Direct unless you are also listening to
streaming music on your PC, in which case it will take up one of the
three playback sessions.

It's a big problem, and currently the only radio service that supports
replay gain is Pandora. It would be cool if live radio streams could
provide some kind of header with a gain value to apply. Or if the
player could auto-apply gain, but not sure how feasible that is.

Softsqueeze is hit or miss, there are many layers between the hardware
and the player that can introduce delay. With hardware players it
should be perfect, except for WMA radio stations.

It should be perfect with the default settings. Those settings are for
tweaking in case you have something like a DAC that introduces extra
delay, or for tweaking delay to get a Softsqueeze player to sync
properly.

Resizing is done using libgd so I don't know how much faster it can get.
Part of the problem is the lack of floating point on the ReadyNAS CPU.
Of course, we'd welcome any help in speeding up artwork resizing on any
platform. :)

Heh, I just fixed a bug in the web search page where it wasn't sharing
time properly while building the result list. My SB1 now handles an
advanced search just fine, even a horrible one like the bitrate
example.

Fingerprinting is something we're looking into for various things, but
we would prefer to do it in as open a manner as possible.
But yeah, MP3tunes has added Tapestry playlists since they can easily
fingerprint your library on their server. So you can use this now. :)

The SB3 does not resolve any hostnames other than

long. I wiped the cache and changed the session timeout length, please
