This has got to be the most confusing option for non techies, I mean,
why do we need to chose SqueezeCenter or SqueezeNetwork as a music
source?
Can we not have this done seamlessly, eg when I turn on my SB player,
if a SC is found then I get an extra option 'My Music Library'

When I was on 7.3 I'm sure there was an option whereby whilst playing a
song I could navigate to another song (via the player) and add it to a
playlist (choose song click right select add to playlist), navigate
to another song, add it, and so on.
Has this been removed in 7.4?

I don't know about other countries but it seems that here in the UK, you
can only buy SB products online, why is this so? I've just been to the
new Currys/PCWorld megastore in Leeds and they have a fairly large Sonos
display but no SB in sight!

Just noticed that when I turn it on at the mains the screen lights up
red slightly in the background, holding + on the remote dims then
brightens the red background. Still no text or visibility from SBS
though

Can't you just use RDC (Remote Desktop Connection), it comes with Vista.
All you should need to do is enable the XP box to allow RDC connections

Looks great, my only comment would be that I'd like to see tooltip text
when hovering over the buttons. When you click hammer the buttons on the
popup have tooltips, just need them on the main window aswell.
