It will probably work with Triode's plugin:

I wasn't sure that Triode's plugin has resolved the issue (it it relates

better than the official app - but I could be wrong as I

Just to be sure, have you setup the Location parameter correctly under
SBS Settings/Plugins/Spotify/Settings ?
I left it blank as I am seeing the same top 100 list for tracks as I see
from the Mac client. This is how I interpreted the instructions.
Just in case though, I have

Is the Always Stream via Helper option enabled ?
I'm not sure if it has any effect but if you have a Radio or Touch and
don't have it checked I think it streams using the firmware while
checking it will make sure it streams through the plugin. However, I
don't think it should

Many thanks for this. I have been trying

I set the needed environment variable using export from the command line
and then ran your Squeezeslave using the open command.
Hey presto - sound output to Built-in Output as I had specified.
I checked my environment.plist with the XCode property list editor and
there were no problems.

LSEnvironment (Dictionary - OS X) defines environment variables to be
set before launching this app. The names of the environment variables
are the keys of the dictionary, with

Could you post your startup script so everyone can benefit?
From a terminal command line, create runPlayer containing the three
lines (assuming the app itself is in your own Applications folder):
export USEPADEVICE=Built-in Output
export USEPAMAXSAMPLERATE=9600

In case anyone finds it useful, here is the script I have developed to
start ralphy's OSX version of SqueezePlay from the command line, setting
environment variables as needed.
Setting the needed environment variables is needed for Mountain Lion but
the script should also give more ease and

Thank you for putting the script together. I've updated the

And many thanks for the new functionality - it is already proving very
useful.
I do think the script would also be useful for versions before ML where
users need to change devices often.
Airplay is limited to CD quality - 16bit/44.1 Khz - only a problem if
you have any higher def music to play as it will be downsampled.

Apple Airport Express will only output 44.1/16. - fully bit

Apple TV2 and TV3 will only output 48/16 - always re-samples audio only
Airplay streams, only bit transparent with video soundtracks ( already

Sorry if I am missing the obvious, but ...
Does iPeng (for iPad) support sorting by Artist in the Album view?
If it does, how do I enable it?
If it does not, then why not?
I miss this compared to my Touches and Radio which have sort order

Thanks Pippin. Yes, but for me, at least, that makes browsing through
albums by artist quite tedious - having to go back to the artist menu

Why do you have to go back to the artist menu again and again? Other

Go back to the list of artists which is what I meant by the artist menu.

Yes, but why do you have to do that? If you select Artists-All

Have been happily using 7.8 for a while now. Are the Mavericks changes
being carried over or will I have to use 7.7.3?
