I have 2 scanned folders that contain FLAC and MP3 files.
I also have a 3rd folder that contains childrens music, childrens audio
books, educational materials, christmas songs and various other
resources.
I would like to be able to select these to play when I wish, however I
don't want them to

Not dirs, but genres: just tag your files appropriately, and you can
easily exclude kids etc. from the mix.
Alternatively, I would look at using browse folders for just these
tracks,
Thanks, but I don't understand how that would help - probably just being
dense...
I have folders
1. FLAC Music
2. MP3 Music
3. Other Audio
I would like that 1 and 2 are in the library, but that I could browse to
3, in order to manually select the files.
Cheers
Yes, I saw how the first solution could work, however it requires that I
remember to tag all my material as it's added.
The second solution suggested seemed a lot easier - however I did not
think it could be done. If it can, that would be great!
JJZolx wrote:
You can't really do that. Everything that LMS plays must be in its
library. If you exclude 'Other Audio' from your media folders, you won't
be able to get to it by browsing the Music Folder.

To be honest when i first ripped my collection of ~500 i did not have

Don't think I am ever going to go through and tag them all, and anyway,
i make up different genres based on mood, so when I come up with 80's

Thanks very much for the help though, since I tagged all the non music

They look exactly the same.

Hi, I keep all my art embedded in the MP3 files, so as I move them
around devices they all work.
I notice from time to time that a track is missing cover art, so I
decided to sort it all out.
I went through a list of all tracks with no art by simply searching for
all files in windows explorer

As you don't mention the LMS version you're using I'd suggest try 7.8.
It has a bunch of artwork related fixes.

M opens the details in the left panel. I can see nothing there about
adding to playlist, just the usual album / artists etc...
I have not tried yet on devices, however I must admit I am more likely

Hi everyone.
When I am creating playlists on the web interface, if I want to add a

The only way so far, is to load the playlist, then find and add the
track, then save as a new playlist.

skip the option.
Any ideas?

Pressing back took me nowhere, it sticks on the account settings page.
However when I unplugged it and tried again, it took me to the main
settings page, where I could select LMS.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, at least I knew that
option should be there!

The windows exe file doesn't seem to be hosted on gitgub, and the wiki

Thanks all, very helpful.
I would still have to apply the step to files already ripped. 20,000+
files... probably not going to put them all through DBPA again :p
I'll set it to write going forward, and test the existing ones on LMS.

That's what I was asking, will they work. I can obviously do a test,
however I thought it might be documented somewhere more up to date than
the original slim page.
I also don't really want to add another step in the process.
