++ libraries can be used which is a
shame as I had a bit of hope given that the interface loaded fine.
Maybe I'll have a little look at porting squeezeslave using the NDK for
Playbook. It would be good to get some experience in that as I normally
work in Java/PHP.

Try adding -y84 to the command line when starting squeezeslave.
No joy with that - I've not had any dropouts or problems apart from the
error message showing and I get those error lines even doing squeezebox

native look and feel would be the device settings menu which is
available in the simulator AFAIK. Swipe diagonally from the top left to

Try the house I'm in at the moment. Not just solid brick between rooms
but 10+ of stone. Wifi can be hard to pickup 10 meters away from the
hotspot in a different room.
Strategically placed repeaters and POE are the only way to get a decent
signal throughout.

scroll so poorly unless it has some sort of horrible
wrapper for multi platform compatibility and I don't see why you would
need that?
All the major phone platforms iOS, Android, Blackberry and even WebOS
support HTML(5)+Javascript apps which should keep most of the UI cross
platform.

just coming at this from the point of view of someone who
has just bought a SB and has only moved to Android phone from Symbian
in the last 4 months, previously things like apps to control the device
wouldn't of factored into the decision.
