I read through the information on the web site, including the diagram,
but I am confused as to how people are using this. I understand the
server side but not the player side. I see that I can connect the
server to a USB dac. Am I able to use my Touch? How does the touch

Can't you run things in your house without mysb.com? Even though I have
2 touches and a transporter I really don't know what role mysb.com
plays. I am running LMS on my Synology NAS and just use the various SBs
with a remote.
I did get squeezeplay to work on a computer that was not running
Squeezeserver.
When I select a 24/96 flac from my library what is sox downsampling to,
16/44.1 or 24/48?

What should I be checking to see why this isn't working?

rather not keep 16/44.1 duplicates to accommodate an SB3 or

Is that true for softsqueeze too? When I play 24/96 flacs on
softsqueeze all I get is static.

I am bridging to a DirecTV Hr20-700. If what you are saying is correct,
it must support auto-switching.
On a side note, does the SB3 manual discuss this cabling requirement?

PC's processing power has to be greater than your
NAS' so any operation you perform, including refreshing your library,
will take much less time on your PC. If you have a very large music
collection, refreshing could be painfully slow on your NAS.

I assume these are simple IP questions.
1 - How does slimserver know its IP address is 127.0.0.1?
2 - If my computer has a static IP is there any difference between
loading 127.0.0.1 or the computer's IP address to access slimserver?

That is definitely a good long term solution but I have over 1500 SHN
sets (lots of Grateful Dead and the likes) so that could take some
time.
I found a solution by putting shorten.exe in the slimserver bin
directory.
