Re: [slim] Delete Genres

2020-04-27 Thread kappclark

Interesting discussion of Genres ---

I have some music that has multiple genres -- the LMS recognizes that
the track has multiple genres (For example a track might be tagged 20s
and Ragtime, or maybe 20s and Blues

My question is there any way to search on multiple tags in advanced
search ? is there a compound search available ? Maybe this is too
obvious - just asking ...maybe I am thinking more along lines of sub
genre...

+1 on homeplugs --- I started out with 2 netgear devices and was an

+1 for static addressing -- maybe assign address outside DHCP scope, or
create reservation in DHCP for the box, so it does not change.

-- this issue is similar to what folks experience with wireless
printers which use DHCP. After power outage, they can re-surface to
network with new address...then clients can't locate them.

we also have Alexa with Amazon music unlimited ... was wondering -- do u
know if the Amazon music service can be scrobbled to Last.FM ? Wife will
ask "What was that last song ..." It is a fun way to discover new music,
and Last FM is a nice way to remember all that music ...

This looks like a great feature -- so I setup the plugin for last.fm ..
I had to change my pw at last.fm it had been so long !

I played a few songs on LMS, but not sure where to see the scrobbled
listing at Last.FM ... seems it is stuck on Spotify (which I do ot use)
..

I checked my settings at last.fm - didn't show LMS as an application ...
will try to see if restarting server kicks it in gear

FWIW - A while back, I used the same Behringer codec to record FM radio
programming via line-in to the internal memory of the RPI, using
arecord, with stream piped to lame... here is the code that worked:

arecord -D sysdefault:CARD=CODEC -f cd | lame -b 320 -
/mnt/mmcblk0p2/fm/music320.mp3

[slim] url format for Tunein - Wyoming Classical

2018-04-29 Thread kappclark

Hello -

I listen to a 256k feed from Wyoming Classical Radio at this url ->
https://wprhqstream4.uwyo.edu/kuwl256.mp3

I want to add this to my favorites in Squeezebox.

I went to the tune-in app, and found the Wyoming Classical feed, which I
added to my favorites,

but it is 128k. (
http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s36401=aac,ogg,mp3,wmpro,wma,wmvoice=16=b4c82869eda503d0156f8c28090643b0)

Can I change this so SB receives the 256k feed ?

Any ideas appreciated --

Bill Clark

Lately the stable/testing/unstable seems to be out of date on the deb

where is the nightly page ??

Re: [slim] Performance of SQLite and large databases

2011-08-07 Thread kappclark

Is it possible to split the library up ?? It may be convenient to keep
that many tracks in one folder, but why not split them up ?

This may not be possible (I have nevr tried it, but then again, I only
have a 65GB library!)

Re: [slim] Radio Stations won't play when on Server.....

2011-07-16 Thread kappclark

No problem - enjoy seeing this solved so easily...I always check the
physical layer first before diving in deeper..and BTW I never use the
MySB anymore...only SBS.. what was confusing me early on was the
defaulting to MySB.com when the server was not running/or connected..

Re: [slim] Net::UDAP - SqueezeBox Receiver configuration tool

2011-07-05 Thread kappclark

Just finished this - and the ethernet port is now the default -- I also
set the ip address to static, and other settings, including
lan_ip_mode

Alot easier than I thought... not a Perl programmer by any stretch..but
easy enough instructions to follow..

Thanks alot!

Re: [slim] Net::UDAP - SqueezeBox Receiver configuration tool

2011-07-03 Thread kappclark

Can this utility also change the ethernet port behavior ? I want the SBR
to ues the ethernet port, but plugging in a cable does nothing - it is
still in wireless mode ...

No biggie - it still works, just wanted everything to be ethernet. Why
have the port if it cannot be used ?

Re: [slim] Why so many rude comments?

2009-10-03 Thread kappclark

I am THRILLED with this technology, and have seen no plms since the
magic upgrade (which appeared automatically on the duet
controller)...just can't wait for the readynas connection to come out of
Beta..

For now, Internet radio is an entirely new experience, and this has
been worth every penny !

I have nothing to complain about (and I haven't played a cd at home in
weeks !)
