Curious how you do this? I use the Squeezebox plugin on Homeseer, but
curious if there are other ways???

Roon client is a bloated pig, requires the Linux port of Windows .NET
runtime. What a mess.
LMS client is native Linux, tiny, easily installed. The obvious first
choice technically.
Sadly, influential reviewers all use Roon, so it is marketings first
choice.

Over at the WiiM forum they've just posted this update on
LMS/Squeezelite implementation:
"We'll raise this with our team. Our current plan is to work on this
after we complete the "Roon Ready" effort and hope to get it done in the

I have put more info about the current options for using the WiiM Mini
with LMS into 3rd Party Hardware -

Basically it can be made to work with LMS as it stands with both the

OK, just tested the Airplay bridge->WiiM Mini. Works OK, except no
album art displayed. Album art displays fine with UPnP, and of course,
UPnP will work up to the 24/192 limit of the WiiM. I think the only
thing I had to configure for UPnP with the WiiM was to turn gapless off,
as it would

The AirPlay bridge is also much easier to get working correctly! It
either works or doesnt.
The upnpbridge however is an absolute pig (not because of Phillips,s

Do you have it working perfectly with the UpnpBridge or are there any
compromises?
If so can you publish the fragment from the bridge.xml file

It supports UPnP, wouldn't bother with the more limited Airplay. UPnP
works nicely, LMS->WiiM Mini.
Reading the specs I see this has Airplay 2. Has anyone tried it with
Phillipes Airplay bridge? I know the bridge is Airplay 1 only but often
devices are backward compatible

If they add it, it will indeed be an excellent news.
The company behind it is https://www.linkplay.com/homeaudio
They are behind a plethora of products, Smart speakers A/V receivers,

A promising note from Support over at the WiiM Mini forum:
"Your suggestion on the Squeezelite is well noted. I'll raise it with
our team and we should be able to support it via the software update.
Please stay tuned!"

D6jg, 'fraid I don't know. I imagine someone at Wiim could answer that.

Wiim have a new forum at a new site, and the discussion about adding
LMS/Squeezelite capability to its Mini (and forthcoming Pro) has been
given a new thread there. Would be good if we added some more posts
there to encourage Wiim to get on with this!

Yeah I have found that the issue is that the Wiim was connecting to a
remote node in my mesh network. It was tricky to resolve, as the Wiim
doesn't have an option to reset the Network, even following a reboot. So
I had to turn the Mesh off and connect the Wiim to a different wifi
network by

I have just bought and setup a Wiim Mini. There is no native Squeezelite
support yet, it is still relying on UPNP Bridge for running, and I am
getting intermittent dropouts. I have posted this on the WiiM forum.
Potentially it is something else as the device is new.
According to the WiiM forum thread above, the latest Mini firmware has
enhanced its support of LMS. It's not clear whether they are still
relying on the "UPnP/DLNA bridge". Can a Mini owner test this? Thanks.
