Hi
I'm having real trouble working out why my SB3 is so tempremental. I
think I have two issues. Firstly the SB can't always find slimserver
running from my PC. SServer is running from system tray on startup but
I just can't view the slimserver page on my machine using local host or
ip address.
I have been running an ad hoc wifi setup between my PC and SB3 perfectly
well for a few months.
But now i can not longer connect my SB3. The strange thing is that my
PC seems show the connection is fine and when i go into view current
settings it show the signal strengh as 90%.
I have tried
I can connect to the SqueezeNetwork, but not to Slimserver.
Could it be that Slimserver is not running on the NAS (I installed a
script to launch slimserver.pl automatically on boot), or would that
give a different error message?
Squeezebox connects to SqueezeNetwork via my wireless router.
I have posted this issue before, but the post has disappeared now, I
havn't used my SB3 for a few weeks as I had to build a new PC due to
motherboard failure.
Anyway, I am using an SB3 over a wired network and am getting the
message below appearing in the performance monitoring section.
There
I bought a shiny new router today with a 5dbi wireless signal strength
and Gigabit ethernet. My ZyXEL router wasn't giving me a strong enough
signal.
As far as I can tell, I can connect okay to the wireless network. I
did a factory reset on the SB3 by pulling the plug then replugging
whilst
I had to get my first faulty SB3 replaced. I just took delivery of the
new one but cant get it to connect to slimserver. It's connected to my
PC (wireless adhoc mode) fine but cant find slimserver. I have disabled
my firewall but that has not helped. Where do i go from here?

I am having an intermittent fault with my SB3. I unplugged the network
cable earlier today to use the connection with a laptop. I have then
plugged the SB3 back in, and now I only have an intermittent connection
with the SB3. In using the laptop I made no changes to the network
settings at all.
