I can't help thinking this is a retrograde step.
Browse by album/artist effectively gives me a flat list of
700+/1200+ entries respectively to work through.
Browse by Folder gives a logical to me layout that allows
me to locate any CD a lot faster.
Would it be possible

I think I need to do the reverse.
My files are all located accurately in a directory structure.
but tagged relatively inaccurately wrt anything else other than
artist/album/track name.
If I can't easily select and play a CD based on hierarchal location. I
need to somehow reflect the hierarchal
metaflac? You generally get it with flac (flac.sf.net).
