I did get some progress done on this and then life got hectic as it
usually does. Unfortunately, I have accepted a new job at a company
where this would be a conflict of interest.
I will no longer be working on this. Sorry.

Any news on this subject?
Thanks

I wanted to buy Salling Clicker to control my SlimServer (Windows 6.50).
This weekend, when I read that it no longer works, I started writing a
script (JavaScript) for Windows to make it work. I'm using the
Telnet/CLI interface instead of the HTTP one.
I should have this working shortly. When
however just a note that might be worth mentioning...
Jonas has agreed to restore the functionality but is not sure when -
clearly it may not make the next update (and no one knows when that
will be)...it may be wise to contact him - he may be able to reduce
your turnround by just pointing you
Any update on this problem?

Not sure what 'http interface' they are talking about, but 6.5 has been
in the works for many months, they had plenty of time to get their
input in.
Too bad the product is not open source, or someone else could work on
the 6.5 support.

Slimserver is a great product and 6.5 is finnally offering a better
browser functionality - if only the clear button along with the other
buttons were always visible as opposed to scrolling to the top of the
page - other than that it's great.
The biggest drawback however is having to use a

I'm not sure about the persentage of SB/Transporter users that have
whole house audio. A lot of us confine our audio gear to one
Please be advised Salling Clicker was very sophisticated in it's ability
to address individual SB's through SS's interface allowing you to play
and remotely control each SB - I never said anything about the same
program material in the whole-house scenario.

I'm going to advertise my ignorance about home automation here and ask
why using slimserver's web ui on your Palm is a no-go. I imagine I'm
missing something, but isn't it a matter of running two apps on your
Palm instead of having it all in Salling Clicker? Especially with the
handheld, touch,
If Sailing Clicker don't want to support Slim, that's their problem. In
terms of non-line-of-sight control, there are a ton of options. I can
control all my players from desktop PCs, laptops, my PDA, even my PSP.
If I had a smartphone, Treo or similar that would work too. And then
there's the
i was enjoying it all in one app - also i might add Bluetooth is less
hungry than wifi and SC uses bluetooth to accomplish all this..i've
spoke with Jonas of SC and it seems there's some sort of resentment
going on about notification of updates - he mentioned SD wants him to
use a Telnet solution
It looks like the scpt SlimServer control script within Salling
Clicker can be accessed and edited.
It looks like it uses the web interface to send CLI commands, using
/status.txt?player=idp0=foop1=barp2=... etc
I don't have a fancy mobile device so I can't test it, but does it work
for some
hello and thanks for stepping forward - this is the food of the gods for
some...
SC does have very limited functionality remaining with 6.5 - you can
start and stop a song, you can skip a song i think. you can NO longer
see the tracks that are playing and you can'y raise or lower the
volume.
I think we've actually got a bug with status.txt... this could have been
resolved so easily if they would have bothered to file a bug. I'm
looking into it.

Looks like the word is that status.txt has been deprecated for a long
time and will no longer be supported in 6.5 for use as a CLI interface.
Jonas is aware of the proper telnet CLI interface and should move to
that. Some good news here is that the AppleScript for controlling
SlimServer is open
as i told you Jonas is good about followup - here's his latest
suggestion:
he says to start with this -
curl http://192.168.1.192:9000/status.txt?p0=playerp1=count;
(replace the host:port appropriately)
This call never finishes.
the above is the content of his message - he also indicates he
I jus tried to redo the applescript and as you already found there is a
bug in the status.txt responce. Actually it does not responds the same
way it used to. What I found is that SC uses the headers of the
status.txt responce to find out the status of the server. It sends the
command in the form
