Martha,
Well, thank you many bunches for the offer of fully-cooked and spicy lower
extremities from random chickens!
If possible, try to separate the left legs and thighs from the right legs
and thighs, as some picky members prefer one side over the other. I think
it has something to do with
Hi, all.
Something I've wanted to do for quite some time is invest in some reserved AWS
instances for synhak.org to reduce our monthly bill. The problem with that is
paying the high up-front cost. Since we now have this $15k grant, I'd like to
use a small portion of it to build what I consider
If you had $150 and one month, what would you build at SYNHAK?
We've got a large sum of money. More might be on its way. What if we allocated
$5400 of it over three years and gave it every month to hackers with great
ideas? I want to know what people would use it for. $150 can buy a lot and
I know you said build but I would buy a screen printer or the pieces
required for a screen printer. It could be used for projects around the
space and we could have cool shirts for all of our events.

I think an evaluation of several hosting options and establishing the
infrastructure needs be done, before we earmark funds and make any plan
changes.
I am concerned with how much horse power cost has been amassed even after
we have achieved a 501c3 status.

Oh please make an intro to AWS class! I'm in the process of right now
creating infrastructure for a start up and AWS is an amazing tool, but
there is a bit of a learning curve.

Not a member, but I now have 703 new ideas in my things to build or modify
or refurb or hack notebook.
When I can finally achieve membership status, having avoided osteoporosis
and/or hip surgery, I will be happy to submit a personal proposal in hopes
of getting a $150 hacker grant from SH.

I didn't say any funds were being earmarked. I'm not evaluating other hosting

Does the 3D printer have just one extruder? If so, I'll need an upgrade to
2 extruders so I can print sacrificial support for my shapes. The printer
is pretty limited now, in the kinds of shapes that can be printed.

It hasn't had file uploads for the past year and
Slic3r has an option for support material, which is a honeycomb shaped

extruder to print a lot of hanging material.
I'd like to learn more about it. Thanks.

I will be setting up photos and a small paragraph for each of our newly
elected on a new page on synhak.org on opening day.
Photos will be taken sitting on a chair, they will then be web-optimized
and hosted on synhak.org itself the same day.
Now if only I can get a rig for good lighting ;)
