Unfortunately NeoOffice uses a similar mix of Carbon, Cocoa, and Java to integrate with Mac OS X. I asked the team if a GNUstep port was feasible; [the answer is no][1]. A few Mac developers asked for a pure Cocoa port, and the answer is [it's too hard][2]. [1]:
