The name "mark_safe" unnecessarily exposes an implementation detail. People who misunderstand this API probably have no idea how this "marking" happens, it would make sense to name this after the *effect* it achieves: "don't process / escape me, I've been sanitized somewhere else". Any of these would work: "no_escape", "dontescape", "sanitized_elsewhere", etc.
