The problem, as I see it, is that a prefix ends up trading potentially
valuable screen real estate for an easy way to filter, when easy wa

So rather than you changing your usage patterns slightly, you want us to
change the list appearance for over 5000 other people.

see your question and reply.
I almost always first search for technical answers, but wouldn't have
thought to search for a request to include a subject prefix. I don't know
why, I just wouldn't have.

I'm sorry if it sounded rude; again, I wasn't trying to pick on you,
but it's also hard to articulate this without sounding like an
asshole. It's kind of a lose-lose situation.
This list has

and searching when I need something.
How I work with other lists (that use subject headers) is I press Ctrl-F to
bring up a search box and type "[whatever" (let's assume "[du]" for this
list). That gives me a list of only those emails and when I open them I

Is there any chance the owners of this list could modify the configuration
so that the emails contain [django-users] in the subject line? It would
make it so much easier to deal with the volume of email if this could be
done.
Thanks in advance.

Every page that I visited gave me a similar error. Something like this :

Request URL:[host]/db/camps/

g prefixes to list mails is purely redundant, since any good
email client can already sort email into folders or automatically
apply labels based on headers, and it creates a usability problem.
Consider someone who doesn't have a 2400-pixel wide maximized email
client, and who sees this set of subje

Hi,
This mail, is for proposing that in tha all e-mail's that send to the
group, contain the [django] subject. First, because the client mail can
detect spam en it, and Second, for recognize each mail of mail-list. is a
form of have mail organize, and know as it is as.
Thanks for the attention

Hi,
I have a table, as follows:
class Thing(models.Model):
name
= models.CharField(maxlength=100)
color = models.CharField(maxlength=100)
weight = models.IntegerField()

I want to have an HTML table
as follows:
+--+++
| Thing
but it has a disadvantage that prefix eats screen place
from real subject. In most list with prefixed subjects I can't find a
single message where real subject is entirely visible in my mail reader.
This is the reason why one might not want the prefix. OTOH I don't see a
point of not using 'from
