Thanks, modified keep-together.within-column to example.properties. works.
But can I set the line spacing of the source code?
I changed the font size to 8pt, but the lines of the text seem to have the
same distance - no space gained.
Is there an attribute like line-spacing?

Hi,
There seems to be a bug in FOP which apparently doesn't handle nested
lists too well. I'm investigating.
Confirmed. There's an ugly bug related to elastic spaces, I prefer to
not enter the details ;-)
A workaround is to use fixed spaces (minimum = optimum =
Hello,
Thanks for looking into this.
Yes, some additional information that I can provide are:
1. When I run the Docbook.xsl style sheet that was part of the application (in
this case Serna), the images are coming fine.
2. In the command that I mention in my first mail, the
Hi All,
After I realized that the fop version 2.05 was never ever going to help me
solve my keep-together problem, I upgraded my fop version to 0.93. But that has
proved to be an even bigger nightmare!
None of the bookmarks in PDF appear though I specify xsl:param
name=fop.extensions

3. In my customization layer I specify both xsl:param
name=admon.graphics select=1/ and xsl:param
name=admon.graphics.extension select=gif/
1. The latter parameter should be specified like this:
xsl:param name=admon.graphics.extension

Title: [docbook-apps] Column problems

I have an a very simple document (a single
article) structured as:

Actually, I think you have a common error in using XSLT. In your param with
name=admon.graphics.extension, your select statement says select=gif, when
the gif should be in single quotes. Otherwise, gif is interprested as an XPath
element name, for which it finds none, and so you get no

There is even a DocBook parameter for this property:
Is there any parameter other than 'normal'?
What else is valid?

Valid values are given by the specification:

Hello,
I'm just getting started trying to use DocBook for some
documentation, and I admit to being quite frustrated. I can't get it
to work because of the glossary.xsl bug that fails when using xalan

it's been 5 and a half

Thanks; I'll eagerly await the new release.
In the mean time, is it safe to simply replace the glossary.xsl file
in the 1.72.0 release with the current one from the snapshot, or does
it have other dependencies that would also need to be replaced?
Alternatively, is there a way I could just fix my
