Regarding the empty divs, what about a post-processing step (like one pass profiling, but on the other end) that processes the output and turns this: div class=titlepagedivdivh1 class=titlea id=d0e45/Preface/h1/div/div/div Into this: div class=titlepageh1 class=titlea id=d0e45/Preface/h1/div

[docbook-apps] svg, pdf, png, and jpg callouts 1-99

2007-05-31 Thread David Cramer (Tech Pubs)
I found myself wanting more than 10 callouts and wanting them too look crisp in pdf, so I made some svg callouts (and used Batik to convert them to other formats for use in html). I'm actually using the pdf version of the callouts in my output because XEP wasn't rendering the svgs for me. It

Not sure it justifies the extra markup, but in terms of what the xsls do, one thing you get with a reference and refentries that you don't with a chapter and sections is additional summary info (the refpurpose) in the toc. You can see this in the toc for tdg under I. DocBook Element Reference

Cheri, Are you using exec to call Saxon? Try using the xslt task--it's much better for this if you're using a java xslt processor. In the following example, assume the properties condition, saxon_class_path, in, out, stylesheet_path, and xslt-force-regeneration, are defined elsewhere:

[docbook-apps] expected simplesect behavior

I notice that simplesects are not chunks and so can be a way to let the writer put subsections in an individual chunk/topic. Before we start using them like this, I want to make sure I'm not relying on a bug. Is it intentional that simplesects are not chunks? One other thing I've noticed:
