Hi Mauritz, Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the delay in replying. I didn't see this until now. Are you sure that there is an entry for the public or system ID for dbmathml.dtd in the catalog file? This was part of the problem. I had to add them to the catalog:

Hi Aankhen, snip Thank you very much! Glad I could help. :-) There’s something I don’t understand, though: you say that you already do #3 for HTML output; why not do it for XHTML as well? :-S Why do it this way? (Also, if you’re producing XHTML, you probably want to close that ‘br’.)

Hi again all, I've got a particular type of table that I want to set column widths on via xsl rather than having to do it in the xml source. The reason is that I have _lots_ of xml files that will use this type of table and I don't want to have to maintain this if/when we change the table
