I would like to compile the full Writer Guide this weekend, or Monday
at the latest (Australian time). Two chapters are still outstanding,
but unless I hear from JohnS or DavidB about necessary changes, I'll
go ahead. As always, updates -- especially error corrections -- can be
made at any time, in

David,
Unless you are already doing so, I will update the images that I
flagged in that chapter as needing work. Perhaps after I do that, as a

Once the file loses the figures completely, the only thing you can do is get a
fresh copy of the file and start over, or copy the figures into the working
copy. To tell if the figures are actually gone, look at the file size. If it's
conspicuously smaller than the original file, the pix are gone

In the compiled books, those items should not be in the chapters. If they are,
Jean,
I seem to be experiencing the vanishing images problem only in this

I've put the full compiled Getting Started with LibreOffice 3.4 book
on the wiki (ODT and PDF) and the ODFAuthors website (ODT only at this
point). Soon to go on Alfresco along with any chapters that aren't
already there.
Please go forth and find mistakes! Especially missing or incorrect

Hello
I am updating the Impress Guide using LO 3.5.1 and have come across a
problem with the cross reference tool in Writer. I have uploaded a screen
shot showing the problem. The character "F" is missing on the list of
figures.
