Hello LibreOffice Documentation Team!
Although my time has been short and sporadic, I appreciated learning from
this team and having the chance to peek into technical writing. Since I no
longer have the time to properly contribute, I've decided to leave.
Wishing you all happy holidays and a

Hi Peter,
As suggested by Ilmari, writing tutorials in the wiki looks like the
appropriate approach as Python newbies are your intended audience. I
understand you seek for guidance, here's my take on a potential "Macros and
Scripting" tutorials page for Basic, Beanshell, (C++, Java,) Javascript,

Hi Peter,
They are not on the website. You will find them on the wiki:

others have reported that they have issues, possibly related to their

Should have read: "While the extension still works perfectly for me,

Hi Rob,
I mentioned to you previously that the contributor guide documentation
is in a state of flux and what you currently read there should not be taken
as absolute fact.
At the docs team meeting on Oct 31st 2018 it was agreed that in future
screen captures for the guides would be taken from
Hi Rob,
I am in the middle of preparing a detailed answer to your original post

Problems?
Hello Rob
The Template Changer extension appears to be working OK in Windows and Ubuntu.
However in macOS 11 Big Sur, the extension does not install in LO and
definitely does not work. So for macOS, it is copy and paste.

Hi Peter,
I've found the extention in the "Contributor Resources > Other
Resources" Folder on NextCloud. So I assumed this was used to apply the
new chapter template.

Hello Rob
I find that creating a new document from the template is accurate using copy
and paste as it gives good control on what happens.
I have not used the extension Template Change and did not know that there was
one. However, I will run a test to see which is better.

Hello
I have busted the LO screenshot advanced feature in Windows and Ubuntu. It does
not work.
In Ubuntu I use Screenshot that comes with Ubuntu.
In Widows I use Snip & Sketch.
In macOS Use Screenshot which is an Apple utility.
All of these work perfectly in in capturing dialogs and specific
Hi All,
Indeed, it is confusing...
How to apply the latest template to an Revised Chapter? Should I use the
the Extension "Template Changer" or create a new document with the
latest chapter template and copy all info from old document to the new one?
On the Wiki or in the Contributor ODT
Hello
Just tried this Screenshot feature in LibreOffice. It does not work if you are
using macOS. I have yet to try Windows and Ubunutu versions of LO.
You can right and select Screenshot, but you cannot select complete dialogs or
the exact area you want to screenshot.
