Jean,

replacing them with footnotes as needed.

Hey all,
I could do a little bit of review work, if you'd like.
It's been a while since I've contributed, but I see no problem helping out
a great cause.

Some mistakes remain in that chapter. I will upload a corrected
chapter later today.
Also, I think the level of detail in the "What's New" section is too
great, and there are too many x-refs to external websites (good to
have on the LO website or wiki, but not so good in a book IMO). I

Hi :)
Superb! Good work :))
On page 8 the 2nd bullet-point has sub-points that start on the subsequent
page. The bottom of page 9 has a little space so it might be nice to push
the last bullet-point on page 8 down a line or so until it's forced to the
top of page 9.

Hi everyone,
I'm interested in LibreOffice (and open source in general) and I'd love to
get involved with documentation. I'd like to volunteer for writing and
editing documentation.
I'd also like to request an ODFAuthors account.

Thanks Sigrid for the account. I'll learn over time how things work -
getting the account was step 1.

Hi :)
My impression is that there is an ideal way;
1. write, edit and make additions
2. review for technical accuracy
3. proof-read for grammar and maybe de-geekifying a bit more
but that steps 2 and 3 can sometimes be switched around in the interests of
expediency.

Jean,
I notice that you uploaded this to the Edited folder. Can we assume that
anything in this folder is ready for proofreading and does not require
extensive review or editing? That's a correct assumption in the case of
the Preface, and also Chapter 1, Introduction to Base, but (IMO) not

Hi :)
This is amazing. Since you sent out the call-to-arms it's suddenly moving
very swiftly. Only 4 chapters left and at least 1 of those is being worked
on, possibly 2.
Good work!
