What's your problem specifically?
Unless there are macros, usually it's enough to open LibreOffice Calc and
let it open the excel file. Then save it in odf (.ods) format.
Let is know of there are troubles with these steps, and please report
specific problems.
All the best.

Hi all,
I have started my work with documentation. I am trying to select
information about Calc functions. And I think that writing a script is good
idea for it. And I have started it. But I have noticed that names and
descriptions of functions do not have a common part in macros name. For
Please do not touch that.
By changing those names you touch the translatable strings (both function
names and the help strings using it) - and make them untranslated (actually
probably fuzzy) in about 130 languages! Please spare about 130 translation
teams of this Sysyphus work.

Khaled,
beautifyng code and with that making work for volunteer localizers is
really questionable. There is something called comments in code that is
just perfect for such situations.
Please revise all my posts to all Ooo and LO mailing lists in the past what

I do not really understand some translators insistence on touching
anything, ever. Yes translation is hard, but so is any other part of the
development. Are you suggesting that everything is kept frozen for ever
because it affects “about 130 languages”! This is becoming really
absurd.

Hi Jay,
Hi Sophie,
I'm also writing up a proposal on how we can lower the barrier for users
to contribute to improving the help, by allowing it to be edited online
by both novices and exports, which you can seen in the following google
docs document.

I have uploaded this into the drafts folder. I had some difficulty with it and
I really don't know if I have correctly understood it. Perhaps whoever
proofreads should cross check with Robert.
I have downloaded chapter 7 and will have a look at it.

Hi All,
I'm working on more patches for the authoring tool and wanted to get
answers to the following questions.
1) Are the indexer and status attributes of the tag found in the
meta tag important to be set, as i would like to set them like so for
newly created help files '

Dear Joel & Tim,
Thanks for your valuable inputs, appreciate it. Is there any
professional, whom you know, could help me to redevelop the same in

You mean a paid professional? I could ask one or two people - if you're
instead asking for a volunteer to assist, best bet is to just asked
around on the email thread and maybe the OOo forum (there are a few
great macro people over there).
Best,
