Re: [libreoffice-documentation] New artwork for title page of user guide chapters?

2021-02-26 Thread Dave Barton

Hello Jean,

Is this what you want?
https://nextcloud.documentfoundation.org/s/rs5C6XMcj46gse5
It is located in the Contributor Resources>Cover 7.1 folder

I suggest you open this file in whatever is your graphics viewing
software and copy it to the clipboard. Then open your local copy of the
template, select the cover page graphic and paste to replace the
existing graphic.

Obviously there are other methods but this worked best for me.

Best Regards
Dave

 Hi Jean

I placed in /Contributors Resources/Cover7.1/ a png file with the
 community logo.

The community logo source file in SVG is in same folder, with same file
 name.

I have updated all SVG's and PNG's of the covers for 7.1 with the
 community logo.

 Kind regards
 Olivier

[libreoffice-documentation] Proposed new character format style - Widgets

2021-02-26 Thread Peter Schofield
At first I was inclined to agree with Olivier about a new character format for
widgets. After doing a couple of tests, I think there should be rethink on this
new character format.

Reason being is simple. There is already a character format that uses
Liberation Mono as a font and that is Code. Yes, the Widget character format
could you use an italic version of Liberation Mono. In my opinion, the
difference is not enough to distinguish the Widget character format from Code
character format. Code text is always written in a mono spaced font and we
should keep with that thinking.

Character formats Strong Emphasis and Emphasis could easily be used fo user
interface text. I already use Strong Emphasis and Emphasis when naming the main
option and sub-option titles in a dialog, and the distinction is enough. In the
LO chapter template, Strong Emphasis is also used for dialog buttons.
