hi, I am just trying to build dosemu and wondered what this error meant? I
have fedora 10 and surely the latest version of binutils. I know it builds
on F-10 just fine, but this is a mock build where everything needed to be
pulled in with buildrequires, maybe something is missing?

Hi,I just thought i'd announce that dosemu is finally available for fedora.
The current package is a SVN snapshot (1905) and is currently in the F-10
free repo in RPM Fusion, i'm working on adding it into F-11 and so on. So
to install, just enable RPM Fusion for yum, and do a "yum install dosemu"

dosemu in RPMFusion updates-testing repo F-11. It takes the latest
SVN release 1988.

Has anyone noticed a problem with svn 2053 in Fedora 15 i686? It just hangs
at the command line, here is the tail end output of strace:
ioctl(0, SNDCTL_TMR_TIMEBASE or SNDRV_TIMER_IOCTL_NEXT_DEVICE or TCGETS,
{B38400 opost isig icanon echo ...}) = 0
fstat64(0, {st_mode=S_IFCHR|0620, st_rdev=make
has anyone even tried svn 2053? does it work at all?

oh ya.. It seems to be a problem with package builds on rpmfusion, when I
rpmbuild on my own system it works. Strange.. Here is the strace output

I'd have to assume it was a problem with the build system to make it hang
there like that, its wierd. Unless there's a missing dependancy, but then
it shouldn't even compile, here's what is pulled in in case anyone notices
something missing:

Glad you got it to work then, all the legacy code still left must make

Hi, I had about 4 - 5 simple changes i'd like to commit to svn, since
this is 1 time only and I don't want to risk messing anything up, what
is the best way I can do this?
Thanks,

I have been doing RPM releases to rpmfusion for quite a while. Just
because the dosemu site doesn't have anything, maybe there should be a
link to there. Here is the F-17 x86_64 package for example:

Thanks,

This is a simple question, I was just wondering what is the preferred
method of running for the console was, I was trying to test some games
and other programs and most won't work unless i'm in an xterm:
dosemu -s -D9+Sc -f /etc/dosemu/dosemu.conf
Any changes needed for dosemu.conf for this?
Thanks for reporting the error anyways. Do you know if this is new
problem, or did it work in previous versions? Also what arch is this?
I bet its x86_64 right?

ok, I don't disagree. Also, I read on the FSF site one way to deal with
this kind of problem was to say something like "GPL 3 and any future

+1 assuming there's isn't any reason against. The dosemu site shows old
releases as stable, maybe we can update the version to 1.6 at least, 1.4 is
very old now.

I suspect its just a bug with the 64 bit version, some programs,
usually games have experienced problems running in 64 bit.
