[DQSD-Users] subcategories

2002-10-25 Thread Monty Scroggins

I
moved a whole slew of searches in the computers and reference
categories into subcategories.   I only created a few, so if
anyone sees a search that is in the wrong place, please post a note...
Some of them were difficult to label..   Also I moved a couple of
searches to a different category..

If you have exactly what you've got in your message, then it won't work because
the case of the preference variable is different. Try changing:

Clocklongform = "EEE MMM d,  h:mm.ss A "

to:

clocklongform = "EEE MMM d,  h:mm.ss A "

I am using Dave's Quick Search Deskbar on my Windows 98 IE 6 sp 1 system and all
operating functions seem normal.
I tried to add seconds to the clock display "Clocklongform = "EEE MMM d,
h:mm A " by copying it in localprefs.js, changing the time to ( h:mm.ss ), and
activating with the " ! ". Even a reboot did not help. I could only make it
function by changing the " preferences.js " file.
Does my system need some other files to make the localprefs work ?

Jim,

Here's a half-baked solution.  Add this function to calendar.js:

function mozillacal(dat)
{
// TODO - find out how to open at a particular date
openDocument("mozilla.exe -calendar");
}

Then, add this to your localprefs.js:

defaultcal="mozillacal";

If you or anyone can figure out how to have mozilla display a particular date,
we'll be in business.
