All,
Someone mentioned that they were going to do a re-write
of the AC4R instructions from the Heathkit shop.
As one of my AC4's has recently gone south, and I have a
second one that needs a rebuild, and I just ordered a
rebuild kit from the Heathkit shop, I would like to
volunteer to
Boys and girls.
I figured this would be as good of a place as any.
If you or anyone you know of has ordered an AC4R ps kit or a L7R kit
I'll be shipping out those products as soon as I can. I'm waiting on some
parts. Those should be here this coming week
but...

No output on 15 Meters with HG-10B VFO. All other bands work OK and I get
output except for 15 Meters.
I have done the modification where RFC1 of V1A is changed from 350 uH to 1 mH.
2-NT with HG-10B works on 80, 40, 20 and 10 Meters, won't work on 15 meters.

Thanks in advance!

I fired up a TR4 I was given that had been sitting idle for 15 years and
have several issues with it. The major one at the moment is that meters are
erratic or not responsive at all.
For Plate Amps Meter:
No movement when trying to set power supply bias.
No movement when advancing Xmtr gain

All Drake Q-multipliers worked with the IF frequency. The q-multiplier
cabinets also typically had a speaker in them for the rig.

Was a cable run from the 2-AQ to the receiver? Where did it plug in?

Ah HAH!
Yes, I think that was it...The load var cap was not shorting but, on
the front section of the 3, in the mid range...it was very close. Maybe
close enough to arc??
Anyways, I adjusted 3 different platesit to provide more clearance,
and so far it is working OK
Thanks Garey! I

They went into a 4-pin socket similar to the calibrator socket, only on the
back apron of the radio (at least this is where it is on the 2B).

They work remarkably well ... it takes some time to mess with them to get
them scoped out, but they're really useful. I particularly like the PEAK

No. 2-AQ and 2-BQ operate with the 455 kc I.F. stage of the 2-A and 2-B. There
is no 455 kc stage in the R series. Their IF freq are 5645 kc and 50 kc.

Since I don't see a dozen replies to your problem, let me take a stab at it.
You hook from your AC4 power supply (the 2 pin funny looking jack) to the RCA
on your SB-200 to key it. ALC on the AC4 is already an RCA. I would change
the 2 pin jack to an RCA myself as the 2 pin plug, if you
