I bought some Goo Gone yesterday and spent two hours trying to get the residue off. Some of it loosened up and could be rubbed off, but there remains a layer that acts almost like it has become one with the plastic. Other suggestions that have been received include lighter fluid or Coleman

I recently acquired an SPR-4 and want to reconfigure the crystal arrangement. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to clean off the adhesive residue left behind by 30-40 year-old stickers removed from the Frequency Selector Dial? I am reluctant to try anything stronger than Dawn and
