I use both the Hickok 6000A and the BK Dyna-Jet 707. They work well, and the
vast majority of tubes I have pre-tested before restoring a Drake have
performed very well.

I use my 6000A regularly, haven't noticed a great difference between
scales, but don't ck that way often. I can take some specific readings if
you'd like.
Did you make mechanical repairs, or electrical, to the meter? If
only electrical I wouldn't expect a change in linearity,
The Hickoks usually change the level of excitation when you change the
Gm range; that may be causing what you are seeing.
