QSL QSL Garey!
I tought that the function receiver ON was to be used only without the
transmitter and that the external mute had to be always used. I
rechecked today... I think it was the switch on the left side of the
chassis for using external crystals or the internal LO that was not

Very interesting.. I have aTR-4 version with the NB switch and the
socket labeled for 34PNB. The manual copy I have shows a picture on the
cover with the NB switch but the manual does not seem to mention the
switch nor does the schematic include the NB socket...
Are there more versions of

There are eight (8) different versions of the TR-4, you have Version 7
and the serial number should be between 30500 and 32000. Four (4)
more versions of the TR-4C. All are on my CDs.
I don't know about manuals, but Drake often didn't change anything but

Goo evening to all.
I should rewind a T1 transformer for AC4 and I would know all the output
AC tensions before the diodes bridge.
Someone may help??
Thanks in advance

We are into trivial persuit big time :)
I have a late model TR4-CW/RIT (Ser. # 44679) - the original manual had
TR-4Cw on the cover, and the manual has the correct photo showing the
three position side band switch (the third position is the 500 Hz CW
position), plus the RIT and Noise
Kris -
Yep, I don't think there ever was a TR-4Cw/RIT manual as such. They
just took the last TR-4Cw manual, s/n 42500 (with it's two page
'Addendum' covering the 500 Hz filter) and the two additional pages for
the RIT circuitry. This one had a photo of the 'Cw on the cover. There
was NO
Greetings and thanks for the list!
I recently acquired a very nice TR-7 which is exhibiting some anomalous
behavior.
I left the TR-7 turned on for a couple of days (tuned to WWV) after I got
it. When I came into the shack several days later, I could not hear
anything. I turned the AF all the way

That's in the archives too. :)
As well as info on how to readjust them when you inevitably do bump them.
