Hi all,
How can I determine a good asking price for my R-4C receiver? Just (in the
past few months) got it back from Jeff, 8SAJ, who got it working very
Fred,
The bandswitch has two sections, one for the input coil switching and one for
the output coil switching.? If only one section is bad, sometimes it can be
rebuilt/replaced.

The phillips head style is more forgiving of screwdriver misalignment and
repeated removal/replacement.

Howard,
If you could provide the serial number, whether the manual is included, and
what the cosmetic condition is, an? estimate could be provided.? Electrically,
if Jeff did the work we know it was a professional job.

Hi guys,
I've been monitoring the threads on the screws and it looks like the web page
noted below, is for business purchases. I have a small retail business which
could make the buy, divide them up and distribute to whoever needs them. Just
want to be made whole eventually. I did reply to
ALL,regarding the Drake screws being discussed. I just
placed an order for 10,000 screws. I should receive then
in about two weeks. I will package them up in 100 piece
packages and list them on the 'For Sale section of my
website, they will be listed with the other Drake
accessories I

PS, I thought I remembered someone out there having screws available for the
twins. I checked Ron's site and found him. I did'nt email him, but seems he
has the screws available at a reasonable price. Here's the link to his email
address and description of the screws he has available.
Way to go Ron!! Here's a pdf spec sheet attached. Looks to be the correct
screw. I'll order a pack from your website as soon as its available.

You should not have any problems ordering them, business or not. If there is a
problem from this site you can order the exact same thing at the same price
from amazon.com as that is where I orginally found the screws.
Don't forget my standard finders fee of 100 screws :-)

Thanks Mike, but Ron beat me to it ! No problem though, It would have been
hard to find a home for 10,000. I'm sure Ron will have an inventory for some
time to come!! And, I'd just a soon not be known as the screw guy ! Hi Hi.
Later,

Hi Evan,
The serial number is 25557;
I do not have the manual, however, I did print one out from BAMA (the boat

Good grief!!! How long can this and the coil winding threads go on? I am
about to unsubscribe from the list due to a woefully overstuffed mailbox. ENUF

Evan, thanks for your kind email.
The pb is on the output section of the bandswitch. It vaporized as far as
know and I guess the recostitution is unlikely. It belongs to
