Thanks Jim:
After checking the schema of table dcvalue,
I found that the indexes of dcvalue_pkey and dcvalue_item_idx were lost,
somehow after the duplication of dcvalue table.
Now the submit process works well, I can upload new items now.
Thanks again for all your help~
Best regards,

Hi,
What revision of the patch did you apply (the first one, or revised)?
And what OS are you using?
There are a couple of possibilities - something may be locked, or you
simply may not be able to rename the 'search.dir.create' to
'search.dir' (for example, going across drives).

Hi,
Under the 'downloads' tab, in the bar, there is a 'previous releases'

Note that I have done some preliminary work using 1.6 locally - haven't

Just thought I'd mention that jdk1.6 / tomcat6 is working fine here in

We looked into using a single naming authority for items in DSpace and

its naming and work around it.
So we have a main naming authority and a DSpace

I'm having a real weird error that I can't figure out. I am doing an import:

It process the metadata OK and then the bitstreams. Then I get the

Can anyone give me any help setting up DSpace using only Tomcat? I have
Tomcat up and running and PostgreSQL installed and running. I just need

All you really have to do is basic Tomcat configuration since is already
(by default) a web server as well as a servlet container, so consult the

I have a slight problem. I can't seem to get the error to occur again. It
originally was random but fairly frequently random (if you know what I

However, all is not lost as I think I might have figured out the problem in
my case (famous last words). In looking at the assetstore directory
