The Minho stats package does not integrate with the XMLUI in any
version. You must run the JSPUI in order to view and analyze the
statistics. The confusion around this steams from misleading
statements about the packages ability to read logs generated from the
XMLUI.

Update: D'oh! It actually was a Java version problem. The dsrun file uses
'java' as it's path. We were relying on it to use the dspace user's path to
java. Making sure the 'java' path on the server pointed to Java 1.5 fixed
the problem.

No, unfortunately, changing the eperson_id over to my email didnĀ¹t work.
Still the same error message.

Karen,
Dear community,
we have discovered several critical bugs that need to be addressed
before releasing version 1.5.2.
Graham Triggs has already provided a patch that has been applied in the
SVN. Due to the short timeframe that we have had to review it, we have
decided to delay the 1.5.2release for
Hi Karen,
Is 3029/2039 definitely a Collection? This error gets thrown if you try
to deposit items into a handle that is an Item, rather than a
Collection.
Thanks,

Assuming the table names haven't changed from 1.4.x and there is no
bitstream management in 1.5.x, you could probably do something like:
update bitstream set deleted=true where name like '%.pdf.jpg';
and then run $DSPACE/bin/cleanup to get rid of the thumb files in the
assetstore

At this point there were some hiccups with the rc1 release, we will need to
try again after making some corrections to the build process that arose due
to unforeseen circumstances. Rsync for the Maven central repo happens 15:00
CST (once daily) and the build was in process while that rsync was
Hi Karen,
I've a script that does data capture with a call to ItemImport, you can
redirect stdout and stderr to files for debugging. I've a feeling the eperson
name has to have `@' as part of the value ie. an email address.

Hi Mark (and others!),
Just picking up on a thread that was being discussed a few months ago, I'm
having a go at overriding some classes in org.dspace.search and
org.dspace.content by creating a custom module, to try and tidy things up from
the 'patch code in place' method I've been using to
Hi Van,
The 'if' statement looking for an email address also has an 'else':
if (eperson.indexOf('@') != -1)
{
// @ sign, must be an email
myEPerson = EPerson.findByEmail(c, eperson);
}
else
{
myEPerson = EPerson.find(c, Integer.parseInt(eperson));
}

Thanks Mark, this did the trick. Doh!

worked...)

Hi Stuart,
So, eperson is identified by emailName or number. I've in the past tried
swapping out an emailName for a generic name `ds_capture' which didn't work.
That explains it, thanks.
