Hi All
We were having a closed policy for our previous collections and now we
use open policy for all recently created collections, our problem is we
want to apply changes to even those old collections so they all use open
policy without changing them one by one, what is the best way to do
Hi
I am trying SOLR statistics on my Dspace test server and I have edited
a dspace.cfg to the bellow changes and restarted Tomcat.
In my dspace.cfg file I don't have property name that says
solr.spidersfile and I am also not sure about the dsrun
org.dspace.statistics.util.SpiderDetector -i
How did you install Tomcat? Via yum? If so, there should already be a
startup script in /etc/init.d and you should be able to start restart
Tomcat by executing a command such as;
service tomcat restart
I haven't used redhat for a while but I think once it has been installed
you may have to
Hi Stuart
Thanks for the respond, I typed http://localhost:8180/solr/statistics in
dspace.cfg as you advised and restarted tomcat but the results now show
blank on statistics page.

Has anyone yet developed a custom Embargo setter for 1.6 that will mimic UMI's
embargo terms (6 months, 1 year, 2 years). If so, would you be willing to share
the code?

We had the same problems and finally replaced the use of PDFBox to filter .pdf
files with XPDF2Text. Our only documents that won't filter now are truly
corrupt files. Plus XPDF2Text is 10 times as fast as PDFBox. Take a look at
this:
Sue All,
I've just updated our DSpace RoadMap to have more details around the
upcoming DSpace release plans. So, hopefully this will provide some
more detail to what Peter already said:

I'm hoping to keep this RoadMap up-to-date as
Hi there,
I wonder if somebody could help us!.. I need that a user were able to
remove a “bitstream” without having administration privileges. Which
parameters should be set up in order to do this?
I would appreciate any assistance!

Whenever I access D-Space pages I receive the 505 error.
The absolute uri: http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/fmt cannot be resolved
in either web.xml or the jar files deployed with this application
I am sure this is a simple matter, but none of the solutions offered in
Tomcat, Java or Dspace forums
Hi Christian,
A similar question was asked just last week on dspace-general mailing
list. You can see the thread of discussion here:
http://www.mail-archive.com/dspace-gene...@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00242.html
In particular, here's the response I sent about the new features in
DSpace 1.6.0
Thank you.
On a related note. The two commands,
CREATE SEQUENCE history_seq;
CREATE SEQUENCE historystate_seq;
exist in the dspace 1.5.2 postgresql database_schema.sql script. Are
those sequences also an oversight? (I am doing a complex migration, so
need to be sure.)
