[Dspace-tech] Non-DC Schema OAI Exposure

2010-04-27 Thread RENTON Scott
Hi folks, I'm just doing a POC, but am having difficulty getting ListMetadataFormats to show up a non-dc schema which I am trying to expose to harvesting. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I am going wrong! As per the instructions (thanks Claudia!) I changed the dspace.cfg to add

2010-04-27 Thread Thornton, Susan M. (LARC-B702)[RAYTHEON TECHNICAL SERVICES COMPANY]
Hi, Can anyone tell me what the status of DSpace 2.0 is? I poked around a bit, but didn't see anything about a projected release date. Is there one? Are there solid plans for a DSpace 1.6.1 or any release versions between 1.6.x and 2.0? Thanks, Sue Sue Walker-Thornton NASA Langley

2010-04-27 Thread pennington
I know that there are plenty of different reasons not to do this (redundant metadata being only one), and you can probably do this better with the XMLUI interface, but does anyone know if it is possible to have a single bitstream referenced by multiple DSpace items, located in different

Susan, I will add that the original funded 2.0 development cycle ended last year at about the same time as the DSpace / Fedora / Mulgara organizational merger. As someone who actually works on the the code-base from outside the scope of that organization. I can only speak for the intentions of

[Dspace-tech] (1.6.0) New User Registration Error - Unable to send email to this address

I just put up a 1.6.0 for testing (RHEL5), and while trying to register a new user it keeps failing with Unable to send email to this address. There is nothing relevant getting logged anywhere that I can find, either in /dspace/log or /var/log, other than /var/log/cocoon.log--xx-xx saying how

Hi Stacy, Yes, it is perfectly possible. You have to work directly on the database. You need to insert a row in item2bundle table, marking down the bundle_id (containing the bitstream) and the item_id (of the extra item that you want to have the same bitstream). Cheers, Allen Lam. HKU Hub
