Hi Adrian,
Satoshi, How is DD configured in Japan, is port 40001 tcp open on the
gateway routers to allow internet?. If so then I guess internet
connectivity to the rest of the world is possible from ID-1 users.
Otherwise is a local Japan intranet system utilised as a server on the

JP3YHJ is the local repeater that I operate on. It has 430DV (A) on 439.01,
1.2DV (B) on 1291.67. It also has 1.2 (DD)on 1290.375. (I'm not sure what the
node letter is, but assume it is A per the original lettering plan.)
JP3YHJ does not have it's own gateway. It is part of a

No module letter is used in UR for DD mode.

Thanks Adrian, I've not had a working DD module to test an ID-1 against.
It also explains a bit about the silly callsign rules in the Icom
gateway design.

I think Steve is asking on my behalf, as I asked him if he knew, or knew
someone who knew, how to do it. . LOL!
I am running Windows XP Home Edition on an iMac using Parallels as the Virtual

The Calculator wasn't much help in trying to set up a my ID-1 for a DD
connection to JP3YHJ (1.2G DD mode) and JP3YHH that has the Internet
connection...unless I just don't understand how to use it.
As I mentioned, I am not network savy and don't know how to set up the
connection
Ethernet
connectors.
