about a dozen on AM.. mainly low pwoered 250-1KW signals, but AFN Okinawa
on 648 with 10kw and AFN Tokyo with 50kw on 810 are still possible in the US

I need a radio with an accurate digital read out that will tune 9khz split
channels, has excellent selectivity/sensitivity, is a bit harsh and can
withstand cold.. But it also MUST have a jack for an external AM antenna,
preferably a 3.5mm or pl259/so239 type connection.

Heard in Alaska today (11/17/16) around 1908UTC on a Grundig Sattelit 750
and 225 foot long wire.

I first heard it around 1545UTC on November14th playing what sounded like
an instrumental version of "Home On The Range". Well, almost exactly 24
hours later, it's playing the SAME thing!

Over half of what I heard, if you subtract the noise, would've been very
listenable
Had a very loud, clear listenable signal from AFN The Eagle 810khz and a
mushy signal from them on 1575.
Had mildly to somewhat good listenable Aussies on 1116(weak to

and he noticed a carrier just a few hz below 1577 at 1930UTC.

Since moving to Galena, Alaska on December 31, 2015 I have done solely
Shortwave DX'ing. I've done it at least 30 minutes a day almost every day
for 11 months. Some days, I've done hours upon hours of it when conditions
are good and other times, I've done days without doing any when conditions
I got an email today from a staff member at Observatorio Nacional, they
confirmed it was them and they will be sending me a QSL in the mail this
coming week!

I have heard Myanmar on 5985 before, but always under and never really
