[DX-CHAT] Re: N8S Online Logs
Any word about N8S and their online logs? Could someone explain what this question accomplishes? - they have a web site, and a NEWS page - they have a placeholder for the on-line log So there are no QSOs uploaded yet - so what? Either they can't send the data, or the person who received it hasn't uploaded anything yet. I don't see how the 1000+ subscribers on this reflector can make the on-line logs suddenly appear. Props to the MicroLite Penguins who don't have on-line logs. It always amazes me how the armchair dxer who has bought every gadget on the planet can never quite understand why every desert island in the world doesn't have broadband. Come on guys - get a life.Some of you should get off your butt and trying DXing for yourself and you will find that on line logs are not the most important thing to worry about in mid expedition. Many groups have encountered extreme weather conditions which those of us sitting at home in our armchairs couldn't possibly imagine. [DX-CHAT] N8S log update
N8S logs have been sent via cell phone to another person who will update the online log shortly. This was according to op Dave K3LP today. Dave also says the temperature was 100F and the mosquitos were terrible. He also added that the 12M band was open to Japan 24 hours a day, which they did not expect. Heard this on 18.150 today. Jim, Three or four days into the operation asking if anyone knows what is up with the on-line logs - since the function is there - is not out of line. Even for an experienced DXer it is nice to have the confirmation so those who have worked them can get out of the pile-up and let some of the weaker signals, antenna challenged and less experienced operators have a chance! 73, ... Actually, Dave, the DXCC card checker I referred to was a VE6 who posted on the DX-NEWS reflector Friday morning.
