Re: [DX-CHAT] DXing pioneers: Don Miller stuff
Yes, Don's certainly alive and well and was released in 2002. He's got a new callsign: AE6IY. I've corresponded with him by email and put him in touch with an acquaintance - a geographer who's into scuba and wreck diving and was asking about some of the south Pacific islands that Don visited, in particular some of the subsurface reefs such as Maria Theresa. Even in these days of GPS and satellite imagery there's still hot debate on the subject of these reefs, exactly where they are (or aren't) and the geology / habitat etc. Don's certainly an interesting chap with many a story to tell. A few years ago. He's AE6IY now I believe. I exchanged a couple e-mails with him shortly after he got an e-mail address and he said he would be on the air again soon. I haven't heard him, though. 73, Zack W9SZ On Sun, 6 May 2007, john wrote: Didn't Don Miller just get out of jail , relatively recently?
