Island, Mississippi (IOTA NA-082, USI MS002S) from April 4th - 6th, 2003.
Cat Island is a barrier island located about 6 miles south of Gulfport, MS
in the Mississippi Sound. We will be active on

some members of Project Dx Team (Ari Lomazzo),
Andrea IK2XDE, Giovanni IK2JYT, Antonio IK2ZJR,
and Dario IK4MED with Angelo I2ADN,
will activate Ustica Islands (IE9)
on HF bands 10~80 meter + 50 Mhz. + Satellite
on SSB,CW,RTTY,PSK31 and some SSTV.

depends what u understand under DX if DX is only a QSO with a station
from another continent - then this question is not for that group
but if DX is also a SWL or RX of a distant station from another
continent - then yes the question has

And I would expect them to be scrambled also. Even the Coast Guard,
in peacetime, for years has been scrambling our Air to Ground Comms to
thwart the drug and illegal immigrant runners.

Nothing tactical which is usually passed by satcom. Very little of the
HF comms used by our military is encrypted. Of course, everyone knows
that and no sensitive information is passed in the clear unless it is an
emergency.
