At 2100Z Friday the team was about 100 miles from Ducie expect to arrive
at sunrise tomorrow...call it 1400Z.
I'd suspect that they will need the better part of their daylight hours to
sent up.
They are having a team meeting later today and will discuss 40, 80 160
frequencies.

Low bands in Europe and the United States. You are all complaining about
the same thing.
1. I report what the operators tell me they will do.
2. We are making every effort to have a CW operator work from Eastern
Europe across the Continent and across the United States on 80 CW at your
VP6DIA is closing down 13 March 2003 in its morning which is California
time. They will work through the night of March 12/March 13.
They will tear down their equipment, load it on the Braveheart, and sail in
the afternoon to Pitcairn Island and then to Gambier Island from where the

Hi all:
They NEVER were on 80/75 or 160 for Europe (at band opening time) during 1st
operation. Seems exactly the same scenario now, unless something happens in
the next 2 hours.

The Ducie operators are going either to 3502 or 3570 right now at 0415 Z,
and Europe has priority
At 1200Z they will start with JAs at 3793
At 0600 they will start RTTY on 20 meters with Europe having priority
Good Luck

Rag, I know you are an asshole, and I know you stick your dirty nose into
everyone's business, but I never thought you were qualified as an expert in
low band dxing or, as a matter of fact, in any kind of dxing.
I suggest you take a long walk on a short dock.

The Pilot Station from Japan, Yoshi, JE2EHP, has sent me the following:
I just talked with Hiro, VP6BB/MM and Yuichi, VP6DN/MM at 04:00Z. They
left Ducie at around 21:00Z on Mar.13 and they are now on their way to
Pitcairn. All the members are doing fine.
That puts Ducie 2 in the history
JA1BK has announced that the on-line log will be ready some time after 22
March when Yuichi, the QSL manager has returned to Japan from Ducie.
