On 14.04, scrolling over the sound indicator does not close the Dash.
Based on the bug description's expected behavior, I say this is fixed.
Whether or not if the Dash should close when clicking on indicators
should be discussed in a different bug report. Closing Fix Released.

Hello! I'm not a Ubuntu pro user, but I'm trying to learn more and more.

The problem with the OnlyShowIn approach is that it is going to create
a really odd user experience. Should the app show up in the Launcher?
What about the application spread? What if someone pins it on the
launcher? Providing something that is both an application in some states

Sebastien, the long-term plan is to implement global menus support in Qt
itself so that appmenu-qt5 becomes redundant.
This will be in Qt 5.6 but we can backport it to our packages next
cycle.
