Can you borrow or buy a USB to parallel dongle to try? USB allows much
flexibility to port assignments.

Don't misunderstand - I love DX4WIN
But I haven't seen much in the way of any new features or development for a
year or two now.
Does that mean that DX4WIN is done and everyone is happy or is there stuff
coming down the pipeline that I haven't heard about?
Are the developers still interested in
Hi,
I've 3 WORKING LPT's and 4 serials in my WINDOWSXP-PRO computer

because ... NO MORE ISA-SLOTS available
All hardware is controlled via DX4WIN (and other software)

Paul,
Thanks that was just the thing I needed. It was so simple that I couldn't
figure out it myself as I was thinking way too difficult.

1. You can't add ISA slots to a PCI only computer.
2. There is a way in some BIOS's to define ports as legacy devices to
prevent Windows from fooling with them. This might work.

Hi Juha,
Not sure I understand your question fully, but 2 answers:
1) If you know what state to look for; then of course you can search (F8)
on the state info (ie CT, NH etc). You can also qualify this with band /
mode etc.
2) from the report, you see the flag showing it is worked (W). you can
That explains why, when I recently upgraded my motherboard, etc. and the
OS to XP and installed a PCI parallel card, I couldn't use the DX4WIN CW
keyboard with anything other than LPT1. The printer worked FB on LPT1
as well as the card's ports, but DX4WIN only worked on LPT1.

Dear Guy,
Thanks for your advice as below, well I want to control ARSWIN and band
decoder (supplied by you!), so I need twp LPT ports. Unfortionatly I have
just looked in my computer and it only has PCI slots! None of the "older"
ISA slots, so it looks like I am stopped in my tracks!
Can you "add
You might want to try the XP forum at www.annoyances.org. Lot of good
people there and a good search engine.
I assume you tried all of the configurations that are available through the
port properties tab in Device Manager.

let me know!!
I have tried here in this reflector to get an answer, but to no avail. As

I have three auxilliary devices (TopTen Devices antenna switch, ARSWin
antenna rotor control, WaveNode remote wattmeter) that connect to my
computer via a parallel port. Two of them (TopTen and ARSWin) are controlled
via settings in DX4WIN.
The computer is a recent model Dell running Windows XP

Someone asked me about the eBay auction for the
International Radio IF Amp. Here is the link again,
although it is the first time I posted it here in hopes
it reaches the person who asked me. Sorry for off-topic.
